bike hire from Sunnybrae Caravan Park

We have bikes of all sizes to suit all ages available for you to hire plus with a trailer and tag along bikes we can cater for almost any need.

There are around 10 miles of road on Luing. Only two miles away is the picturesque village of Cullipool, with the shop, post office, disused quarry, large slate beach and fabulous views of Belnahua, the Garvellach Islands and Mull. The deserted buildings on Belnahua, once a busy slate quarry can be easily seen just beyond Fladda Lighthouse.

Heading south takes you to the village of Toberonochy and tiny Blackmill Bay. This route will take you past the Old Mill and churchyard where victims of the shipwrecked Latvian ship Helena Faulbaums now lie.

The famous Luing cattle can be found all over the Island, as well as buzzards, peregrines, otters, hares, and out at sea - seals and occasionally dolphins.

Alternatively, take the ferry back over to Seil and cycle to the village of Ellenabeich from where you can take the passenger ferry to Easdale Island (perfect for a visit to the Puffer Bar). Also on Seil are the village of Balvicar and it's golf course, or the Tigh na Truish Public House overlooking the famous Bridge over the Atlantic.

Helmets are provided free of charge. Although there is only limited traffic on the island, we do ask that helmets are worn by children and adults.
